Weekend Herb blogging Yongchak Parkia
The Locals call it Yongchak, the scientific name is Parkia roxburghii, and google gave reference to the english name of tree beans. I don’t know where else the same is relished. I am going to blog about the same for Kalyn’s Weekend Herb Blogging.

Mutton Vindaloo
Ha!!! Don’t you get carried away by the Picture. Of the Aloo, that is.
Mutton Vindaloo has nothing to do with Aloo.

The other day I bougth some palak (Spinach), and I hadn’t decided what to make of it.
I was [...]

But I didn’t dip the mackeral in any masala paste.
I only marinated it in Salt, a little turmeric and a pinch of Heeng or asafoetida.
Then I shallow fried in low heat, 15 minutes on first side, 10 [...]
Green Mango in Jaggery Syrup for JFI
Prepared by boiling raw green mangoes in sweet syrup, this is very simple yet amazing dish.
This is my contribution to Mahanandi’s JFI.
This is very similar to the Aam Panha, but for the fact that it is not actually a juice.
I couldn’t get the Bengali name for the same (Any one knows the name?). This [...]
