I have never cooked tindora with the besan or gram flour as the receipe calls. However, I have cooked a few other vegetables (including broccoli) with the final touch of besan though not as much as this receipe calls for.
Therefore I would like to make a reccomendation here. Precook the besan prior to adding to the nearly cooked/cooked vegetables. By precook I mean roasted and this is how: In another pan, heat a tablespoon or similar oil and add the besan and stir cook/roast until the besan feels or looks light. Add this roasted besan to the vegetables and stir to coat them. The vegetable peices will bot be all stuck and willnot taste floury.

This is really very helpful for diabetics. But one should take uncook like salad. better to take one or two after brush in morning as soon you wake up. And don't take anything for about 60mts - except plain water. This will help better to control sugar. For This i have no scientific test result, but hope some one wiil try and give their result. simple blood sugar two week report before and after start taking tindora . morning without taking anything but after atleast two hr of tindora taken time. and similar twohrs after meals.

Hi.. I like every step of your recipe except where you said "Deseed" the tomatoes. By de-seeding you are actually throwing away the great goodness the 'flesh' of the tomatoes have.
Cook tomatoes with seeds, they dont hurt you.

Hey Linda,

You can find tindora in any of the local Indian grocers. Call them before hand to know when do they get fresh veggies. It is normally on wednesdays or fridays. I have never seen them in American supermarkets.

I didn't see it on the shelves of supermarkets when I was in the states, so I won't be able to guide you. Maybe you can ask some of the other India bloggers who live in the US like Indira of Mahanandi, Shilpa of Aayisrecipes.
